WMF 2026 will focus on 14 strategic sectors, including AI, robotics, cybersecurity, fintech, healthtech, clean energy, the space economy, and the future of work. Organizers say the exhibition is designed to connect startups, investors, research institutions, and corporations through structured networking and business development opportunities.
Among the organizations participating are Dell Technologies, Intel, Philip Morris International, the European Space Agency (ESA), Amazon AWS, Bocconi University, and several Italian government agencies and regional authorities.
The event will also spotlight international expansion initiatives, including Saudi Makes Future, WMF’s first Middle Eastern edition, scheduled to take place in Riyadh in December 2026.
Beyond the exhibition floor, attendees will have access to startup showcases, investor matchmaking programs, a digital job fair, and more than 30 side events hosted across Bologna. Eleven open stages will feature discussions on topics ranging from geopolitics and GovTech to education, sustainability, and the space economy.
WMF’s “Future Show” will add a public-facing dimension to the event with live drone performances, jet suit flight demonstrations, robotics showcases, virtual reality experiences, and university-led technology projects. Visitors will also be able to test-drive electric vehicles and attend inclusive sports demonstrations.
According to organizers, WMF attracted more than 73,000 attendees from 90 countries in 2025, reinforcing its position as a major international platform for technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
